Abstract:

This thesis is about the growth of black phosphorus with different mineralisers. in situ neutron diffraction patterns where analyzed of a reaction from red to black phosphorus with Sn and SnI4. Doping of black phosphorus was tried with elements of the main groups 2, 14 and 16. Polytypes of Hittorf’s phosphorus were reached by several synthesis and characterized. SnIP is the first double helical structure on an atomic scale which was synthesized of P, Sn and SnI4. It is a flexible, needle-shaped semiconductor with a band gap of 1.8 eV.
