The structure of biomolecules is crucial for their function. With the help of Molecular Dynamics simulations and energetic calculations, different mutations in biomolecules were investigated in order to analyze their influence on the structure and behavior of the molecules. The folding of collagen peptides with and without single point mutations was simulated. Furthermore the stability of the transport molecule transthyretin was compared with several mutants with regard to the tendency to amyloid formation. Finally the behavior of single bulge loops in RNA helices was analyzed.
