In the Firenwood project four different test series were performed to investigate the behaviour of glued-in metallic fasteners under the influence of heat, in particular for a fire load.. The test series 1 described in this partial report includes preliminary small scale tests in order to be able to define the test parameters for the further investigations done in the following test series. In particular, the influence of the adhesive type, the glue line thickness, the temperature level, the test configuration and the load level were considered. In addition, the material characteristics for the used adhesives were to be determined under standard conditions and compared with the behavior under thermal stress. Therfore specimens were tested in tension based on EN 302-1.     «
