Abstract:
In this thesis, we demonstrate nanoscale building blocks for on-chip optical interconnects by integrating deterministically fabricated plasmonic slot waveguides with transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) monolayers.
We report on the coupling of TMDC photoluminescence to propagating plasmonic modes and the self-alignment and coupling of single photon emitters to such modes.
Moreover, in electrically contacted systems we detect photocurrents at the nanoscale from MoSe2 monolayers.
