- This dissertation consists of three essays on the topic of corporate venture capital (CVC). In the first essay, I examine the link between CVC and the real options theory. In the second essay, I investigate the decision-making behavior of entrepreneurs when they receive financing offers from corporate investors. In the third essay, I explore central factors that affect the attitude of angel investors towards CVC units.

- Diese Dissertation beinhaltet drei Aufsätze zum Thema Corporate Venture Capital (CVC). Im ersten Aufsatz untersuche ich die Verbindung zwischen CVC und der Realoptionentheorie. Im zweiten Aufsatz analysiere ich das Entscheidungsverhalten von Gründerinnen und Gründern, wenn sie Finanzierungsangebote von CVC-Investoren erhalten. Im dritten Aufsatz identifiziere ich zentrale Faktoren, die die Haltung von Business Angels gegenüber CVC-Investoren beeinflussen.
