Abstract:
This thesis explores the potential of RGBD camera augmented C-arm. We first examine the feasibility, construction, and design of such devices by proposing two different designs. Then, we investigate several medical applications using those devices, such as innovative visualization paradigms: X-ray on 3D reconstruction, multi-layer visualization, AR visualization of radiation exposure, back deformation assessment during scoliosis surgery and mixed reality environment for C-arm based surgery.
