- Abstract:
- This paper proposes to radicalize the search for the microfoundations of institutions by analyzing the formation of inistitutionalized actors from events. It introduces concepts from systems theory that allow for reconstructing actors. In addition, it proposes two mechanisms of actor formation: identification and categorization.
