Detaillierte Repräsentation des Straßenraums in 3D-Stadtmodellen
Übersetzter Titel:
Detailed Representation of the Street Space within 3D City Models
Abstract:

Three-dimensional semantic city models are increasingly used for the automatic analysis of large urban areas. Until now the focus has mostly been on models of buildings. Nonetheless many appli- cations could also benefit from detailed models of public street space for further analysis. However, there are few guidelines for representing roads within city models. Therefore this thesis explores and discusses related standards pertaining to possibilities of modelling streets. Subsequently, 16 poten- tial applications which would benefit from detailed representations of street space are presented. Based on these standards as well as on user requirements, a concept for a CityGML-compliant re- presentation of street space in multiple levels of detail is developed in the main chapter. In the course of this process, the CityGML-Transportation model of the currently valid OGC-standard CityGML2.0 is examined to discover possibilities for further developments. Moreover, possible adjustments are suggested. Finally, the proposed concept is implemented for selected examples within a semantic 3D city model of New York City. This generates a detailed 3D street space model for the entire city. Ad- ditionally, suitable areas are selected and made available in the form of CityGML-compliant textured LoD 3 street space models.
