Abstract:
Global declines of freshwater mussel populations and of the ecosystem services they provide have been linked to anthropogenic stressors including pollution, but the impacts of antibiotic spillover, e.g. through aquaculture or pharmaceutical wastewater effluents, on mussel health are unclear.
