Bildliche Produktmodelle wie Funktionsmodelle, Skizzen, strukturierende Darstellungen stellen ein wesentliches Hilfsmittel für die Zusammenarbeit von Entwicklerteams, insbesondere in der Phase der Lösungssuche, dar. Um den Einsatz verschiedenartiger bildlicher Produktmodelle zu beschreiben, wird eine Untersuchung von Entwicklerteams während der Lösungssuche durchgeführt. Neben dem Einsatz der Produktmodelle werden sowohl die Ziele des Modelleinsatzes als auch die durchgeführten Entwicklungstätigkeiten hinterfragt und hinsichtlich ihres zeitlichen Auftretens analysiert. Unter Berücksichtigung dieser Untersuchungskategorien werden charakteristische Situationen hinsichtlich des Einsatzes bildlicher Modelle identifiziert und in einem Beschreibungsmodell zusammengefasst. Es wird zudem ein praxistauglicher Ansatz vorgeschlagen, der durch einen optimierten Produktmodelleinsatz die Lösungsgenerierung im Team verbessert.     «

Pictorial product models such as functional models, sketches, structuring representations form an essential tool for the collaboration of design teams, in particular within the phase of the solution finding. In order to describe the use of different pictorial product models, an analysis on design teams during the solution finding is carried out. Apart from the use of the product models both the goals of the model use and the appearing development activities are analyzed regarding their temporal occurrence. With consideration of these analyzing categories characteristic situations are identified in regard of the use of pictorial models and combined in a descriptive model. In addition, an approach is suggested, which improves the generation of solution in a design team by an optimized product model use.     «
