Abstract:
This thesis addresses the fundamental structure-reactivity relationship of low-valent silicon and aluminium compounds. This is achieved by a combined experimental and theoretical approach with particular emphasis on the application of silylenes, dialumenes and silyliumylidene ions in the activation of small molecules to set the stage for their future catalytic application.

Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden die grundlegenden Zusammenhänge zwischen Struktur und Reaktivität für niedervalente Silicium- und Aluminiumverbindungen in einer Kombination aus experimentellen und theoretischen Studien untersucht. Der Fokus liegt hierbei auf der Verwendung von Silylenen, Dialumenen und Silyliumylidene Ionen in der Aktivierung kleiner Moleküle als Grundlage für deren zukünftige katalytische Anwendung.
