Title:
Challenges for multi-resolution finite volume solvers on high performance computing systems 
Abstract:
We present a generalized simulation-framework for compressible multiphaseflows with multi-resolution discretization. Following a hybrid parallelization strategy, MPIcommunication combined with shared-memory parallelization are used to achieve highcomputational efficiency. As a consequence of high-resolution and high-order methods,we demonstrate crucial floating-point effects such as artificial symmetry breaking.
