Abstract:
The goal of this master thesis was to develop and implement the embedded domain method for use in partitioned fluid-structure interaction scenarios. This approach greatly simplifies FSI problems, as it decouples the fluid from the structural mesh, avoiding the problems that arise from body-fitting methods.
