- Abstract:
- Als Ursache für die Entstehung einer bisphosphonatassoziierten Kiefernekrose wurde eine Übersupression der Kieferknochen durch einen erhöhten Stoffwechsel im Vergleich zu anderen Skelettabschnitten angenommen. Durch Untersuchung von Szintigrammen zeigte sich der Stoffwechsel der Kieferknochen nicht als signifikant erhöht im Vergleich zum Femur und der Frontobasis. Ebenfalls hatte die antiresorptive Therapie keinen Einfluss auf die Stoffwechselaktivität aller untersuchten Skelettabschnitte.

- It was assumed, that causes for the development of a bisphosphonate related osteonecrosis of the jaw, was an oversupression of the mandibular bone due to the increased metabolism, in comparison to other sceletal regions. By the investigation of scintigraphies, the metabolism of jawbones did not demonstrate a significant increase in comparison to the femur and the frontal bone region.
