Meeting multiple, partially orthogonal optimization targets during thread scheduling on HPC and manycore platforms simultaneously, like maximizing CPU performance, meeting deadlines of time critical tasks, minimizing power and securing thermal resilience, is a major challenge because of associated scalability and thread management overhead.
