Abstract:: The paper introduces and reviews a soft skills education program at the faculty of mechanical engineering at Technische Universitaet Muenchen. The main objective of this “Tutorensystem Garching” is to supplement technical education in engineering science with social skills. The contribution gives an overview on content, organisation, and teaching methodologies of that education program and takes a detailed stock of the recent years.
