Abstract:: The surrogate light chain (SLC) is important for B cell development. Here, we present the results of the structural organization of the SLC complex, single proteins and mutants, and their effect on domains of the antibody heavy chain (HC). Our results provide new insights into the folding and the assembly of the SLC complex and pave the way to understand HC selection by the unique SLC.
Translated abstract:: Die surrogate light chain (SLC) ist wichtig für die B-Zell Entwicklung. Die Assemblierung des SLC Komplexes, der einzelnen Proteine, sowie der Einfluss auf die Domäne der schweren Kette (HC) von Antikörpern wurde untersucht. Diese Studien liefern neue Erkenntnisse zur Faltung und Assemblierung des SLC Komplexes und ebnen den Weg um die Selektion der HC durch den SLC Komplex im Detail zu verstehen.
