- This thesis is devoted to some forefront issues in the field of leptogenesis. As well as nicely explaining the origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the Universe, this mechanism is intimately related to the nature of neutrino masses in that it is the cosmological consequence of the see-saw mechanism. In particular, we discuss the importance of flavor effects, the possible relevance of quantum effects, as well as the role played by the heavier right-handed neutrinos.

- Diese Doktorarbeit behandelt mehrere zentrale Aspekte der Theorie der Leptogenese. Dieser Mechanismus, der eine elegante Erklärung der Entstehung der Materie-Antimaterie Asymmetrie des Universums darstellt, ist eng mit der Natur der Neutrinomassen verknüpft, da er die kosmologische Folge des "see-saw" Mechanismus ist.
