Bei der vorliegenden Arbeit handelt es sich um eine retrospektive Studie über Langzeitprognose und –Verlauf nach invasiver Herzkatheterdiagnostik bei 245 über 80jährigen Patienten. Unter Berücksichtigung von Alter, Komorbiditäten, Herzkatherindikationen, Herzkatheterdiagnose, therapeutischer Konsequenz, postinterventionellen Komplikationen und Überlebensraten zeigte sich, dass auch Patienten über 80 Jahre bei kalkulierbarer Komplikationsrate von einer Koronarangiographie profitieren und keine Kontraindikation für eine percutane interventionelle Therapie bzw. herzchirurgischen Eingriff besteht.     «

The present paper concerns a retrospective study about long-range prognosis and follow-up after invasive coronarangiography in 245 octogenerians. In consideration of age, comorbidities, indication and findings of coronarangiography, therapeutical consequences, postinterventional complications and survival rates could be shown, that also patients older than 80 can benefit with calculable rates of complications from a invasive coronarangiography and that only the high age is no contraindication for percutaneous interventional therapy or heard-surgical treatment.     «
