Abstract:
Die Radiofrequenzablation ist ein Standardverfahren der Behandlung therapieresistenter, symptomatischer Patienten mit persistierendem Vorhofflimmern. In dieser Studie wurde untersucht, ob der Vorhofdruck ein guter Prädiktor für den Langzeiterfolg eines solchen Eingriffs ist. Es zeigte sich, dass der Vorhofdruck nicht mit dem Auftreten von Rezidiven assoziiert ist.

Radiofrequency ablations are a standard procedure for the treatment of therapy-resistant, symptomatic patients with persistent atrial fibrillation. This study examined whether the atrial pressure is a good predictor for the long-term success of this intervention. It was shown that the atrial pressure is not associated with the recurrence of atrial fibrillation.
