Die hier vorliegende Arbeit untersuchte das Outcome einer patellofemoralen Inlayprothese vom Typ „Wave®“ der Firma „arthrosurface“ aus Franklin, Massachusetts zur Behandlung der isolierten patellofemoralen Arthrose. 21 Patienten mit einem Follow-up von 1 Jahr wurden eingeschlossen. Die Daten zeigten eine deutliche Verbesserung der klinischen, sportlichen sowie alltagsrelevanten Parameter. Radiologisch konnte keine Veränderung gezeigt werden. Die Inlayprothese ist eine gute Alternative bei isolierten patellofemoralen Arthrosen. Allerdings werden noch Langzeitstudien benötigt, um den dauerhaften Erfolg der Prothese zu zeigen.     «

The following thesis examined the outcome of the patellofemoral inlay prothesis „Wave®“, produced by „arthrosurface“ from Franklin, Massachusetts. 21 patients were included with a follow-up of one year. The data showed a signifikant improvement for the clinical, sportif and dailylife tests and scores. No difference in the radiological data could be shown. Therefore the inlay prothesis is a good alternative for isolated patellofemoral arthritis. More studies should be done to evaluate the longterm outcome.      «
