The aim of our study was to show the procedural efficacy and safety of retrievable Nitinol Stents as part of our multimodal endovascular approach in the treatment of ischaemic stroke. We retrospectively evaluated all consecutive 104 patients (108 territorial occlusions) who underwent endovascular recanalization of intracranial vessel occlusion with the Solitaire stent between 03/08 and 02/10 at our stroke centre (Klinikum rechts der Isar, TU Munich). Our results prove the technical feasibility and safety of the Solitaire Stent in the treatment of the acute intracranial vessel occlusion.      «
