„Landschaft“ entsteht als ästhetische Idee zur Herstellung von Kunstgegenständen – als Landschaftsbild. Im Laufe seiner Geschichte ändert dieses „Bild“ mehrmals das Darstellungsformat, z.B. vom Gemälde zum Landschaftsgarten. Diese Formatsprünge sind mit der Vergegenständlichung der ästhetischen Idee „Landschaft“ verbunden. „Landschaft“ wird zum handfesten Objekt. Diese materielle „Landschaft“ kann besucht, bewohnt und gestaltet werden. Die Gestaltung dieser „Landschaft“ führt zur Vermischung von praktischen und ästhetischen Urteilen und zu objektivistischen Schönheitsprinzipien. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, das autonome Prinzip der ästhetischen Urteilskraft und somit die subjektive Basis von Gestaltung der „Verschleierung“ durch objektivistische Ästhetiken zu entziehen, um dadurch Gestaltung in der Öffentlichkeit, in demokratischen Entscheidungsprozessen, aber auch in der Kooperation bei Projekten, diskursfähiger zu machen.     «

The term landscape has been developed as an aesthetic idea for the production of pieces of art. In the course of history these artefacts changed their format for example from a painting to the landscape garden. These transformations of the format were connected with the transformation of the idea of landscape into a material object. This material landscape can be visited, inhabited and designed. It is the aim of this dissertation to point out that landscape is being perceived as a material object but contains highly important subjective aspects. Acknowledging this in the design process will improve the possibility to discuss landscape design in the public decision making processes.     «
