The present dissertation provides the first empirical findings regarding the difference of per-sonal visions and goals. Personal visions are represented in a pictorial format, whereas personal goals are represented in a language-based format. Personal visions are associated with the implicit motive system, personal goals, in contrast, not. Moreover, the findings outline the role of positive affect in the perception of the motivational power of personal visions as well as in the development of a motive-congruent personal vision. Furthermore, the present research showed the beneficial effects of personal visions on the development of motive-congruent goals.     «

Die vorliegende Dissertation liefert die ersten empirischen Befunde zu Unterschieden und Zusammenhängen von persönlichen Visionen und persönlichen Zielen. Persönliche Visionen sind bildhaft, persönliche Ziele dagegen eher sprachlich repräsentiert. Persönliche Visionen sind mit dem impliziten Motivsystem assoziiert, persönliche Ziele dagegen nicht. Darüber hinaus betonen die Befunde dieser Arbeit die Relevanz von positivem Affekt bei der Wahrnehmung der motivationalen Kraft von persönlichen Visionen sowie der Entstehung einer motivkongruenten persönlichen Vision. Zudem zeigt die Arbeit den positiven Einfluss persönlicher Visionen auf das Bilden von motivkongruenten Zielen.     «
