Die Behandlung von Spalthaut(SH)-Entnahmestellen ist nach wie vor mit einem hohen Dyskomfort für Patienten und med. Personal assoziiert. Durch Modifikation des grundsätzlich idealen Polyurethan(PU-)folienverbandes im Sinne von Perforation und Kombination mit einem Sekundärverband, kann dessen wesentlicher Nachteil, unkontrolliertes Auslaufen von Wundsekret, korrigiert werden. Um die Wertigkeit des modifizierten Verbandes einordnen zu können, wurde dieser in einer randomisierten, prospektiven und doppelt-verblindeten Studie mit Matched-Pairs-Design an 50 Patienten gegen einen Natriumcarboxymethylcellulose-Verband verglichen. Der modifizierte Folienverband zeigte sich bzgl. Reepithelialisierung, Schmerzempfinden und Kosten signifikant überlegen. Es bestanden keine signifikanten Unterschiede hinsichtl. der Narbenbildung. Somit qualifiziert sich der modifizierte PU-Folienverband als ideale Verbandform zur Versorgung von SH-Entnahmestellen.     «

The treatment of split thickness skin graft donor sites is still associated with discomfort for patients and medical stuff. The almost single disadvantage of the theoretical ideal polyurethane dressing, an uncontrolled leakage of wound fluid, can be corrected by a modification by means of perforation that permits a controlled leakage into a secondary absorbent dressing. This prospective, randomized, double-blind, matched pairs designed clinical trial was conducted to compare the modified film dressing and a natrium-carboxymethylcellulose (NCMC) dressing, which also seems to fulfill all criteria of an ideal donor site dressing. Overall the modified film dressing was superior to NCMC concerning reepithelialization rate, pain and costs. Further attributes such as easiness of applicaton, low labour input, high patient comfort and protection against wound infection qualify the modified film dressing as an ideal wound coverage for donor sites.     «
