Thema der vorliegenden Dissertation ist die Synthese chiraler N-heterozyklischer Carbene, der korrespondierenden Übergangsmetallkomplexe sowie deren Einsatz in der Hydrosilylierung. Bei der Darstellung der Liganden sowie der Übergangsmetallkomplexe galt es einerseits neue Syntheserouten zu finden und andererseits bewährte Strategien mit neuen Verbindungen einander gegenüber zu stellen, um optimierte Ergebnisse zu erzielen. Ein zusätzlicher Aspekt der Arbeit lag in der Untersuchung von Ligandeigenschaften in der Übergangsmetall-katalysierten Transferhydrierung. Hier wurden verschiedene Parameter, wie Sterik der Liganden oder elektronische Eigenschaften der Komplexliganden untersucht.     «

The topic of this dissertation is the synthesis of chiral N-heterocyclic carbenes, the corresponding transition metal complexes, as well as their application in hydrosilylation. On the one hand new synthesis routes for ligands and transition metal complexes had to be found, on the other hand established strategies with new compounds were tested to oprimise the results. Another aspect was the invetigation on ligand properties for transitin metal catalysed trasnfer hydrogenation. Here, several parameters, as the steric properties of ligands or the electronic properties of complex ligands were investigated.     «
