Abstract:
Electromobility is gaining momentum around the world. On the way to environment-friendly transportation, enhancing driving range and safety become critical tasks for modern automotive battery management systems (BMSs). This thesis proposes online Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) for smart Li-ion battery monitoring in the future. Combined with the novel Power Line Communications (PLC), sensor wiring of smart cells is kept to a minimum, fostering a plug-and-play BMS.
