Abstract:: Colicky lower abdominal pain can have several causes. Besides the typical urological reasons, differential diagnosis should include surgical, internal, and gynecological causes. In particular, in cases of ambiguous calcifications on plain abdominal films - as shown in the presented case - a mature teratoma of the ovary should be taken into consideration.
