Abstract:
The thesis is concerned about developing a novel and powerful Bayesian network modeling framework to construct the structure and parameters of Bayesian networks such that quantitative inference can be performed based on only qualitative prior information. The method can deal with (in)consistent and incomplete qualitative information and is verified by modeling molecular interaction networks in cancer.
