Drei Bioprothesen mit komplett supraannulärem Design (Magna-Prothese, Soprano-Prothese und Mosaic-Prothese) wurden mit einer Prothese mit intra-supraannulären Design (Perimount-Prothese) verglichen. Die Mosaic-Prothese ist aus porcinen Material, alle anderen Prothesen aus bovinem Material. Sechs Monate nach Aortenklappenersatz wurden 253 Patienten echokardiographisch in Ruhe und bei Belastung untersucht. Die drei bovinen Prothesen zeigten niedrigere mittlere Druckgradienten, größere effektive Klappenöffnungsflächen und eine bessere effektive Klappenöffnungsflächen-Fraktion als die porcine Prothese. Die besten Ergebnisse in Ruhe und unter Belastung erzielte die bovine, komplett supraannuläre Magna-Prothese, die sich durch ein neuartiges Stentdesign mit einem reduzierten Nahtring auszeichnet. Die Ergebnisse verdeutlichen, dass das Design und das Material einer Prothese wesentliche Faktoren der Hämodynamik sind.      «

Three bioprostheses with completely supra-annular placement (Magna prosthesis, Soprano prosthesis and Mosaic prosthesis) were compared with one prosthesis with intra-supraannular placement (Perimount prosthesis). The Mosaic valve is a porcine prosthesis; the three other valves are bovine prostheses. Six months after the aortic valve replacement data were obtained by echocardiography at rest and during exercise in 253 patients. The three bovine prostheses showed lower mean systolic pressure gradients, larger effective orifice areas, and superior effective orifice fractions than did the porcine valve. The completely supra-annular Magna prosthesis with a reduced sewing ring showed the best results at rest and during exercise. The results demonstrate that the design and the material of prostheses are very important factors of their hemodynamics.      «
