- In einer prospektiven, multizentrischen, randomisierten Phase III-Studie wurde bei Patienten mit inoperablem, nichtkleinzelligem Lungenkarzinom (Stadium IIIA/B) die alleinige Strahlentherapie mit der simultanen Radio-/Chemotherapie nach einer Induktionstherapie verglichen. - In a prospective, randomized multicenter phase III-study we compared radiotherapy alone versus simultaneous radio-/chemotherapy after induction chemotherapy in patients with inoperable, non-small cell lung cancer (stage IIIA/B). In this paper the tumor response as well as the treatment-related toxicities are described. In addition an analysis and evaluation of different prognostic and predictive factors in relation to tumor response and treatment-related toxicities is performed.
