Abstract:
The synthesis, electrochemical properties and performance of homogeneous iron epoxidation catalysts bearing tetradentate N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands, as well as their degradation products are described. In addition, copper, silver, gold, palladium and platinum NHC complexes are studied with regard to their antibacterial and antitumor activity in vitro.

Die Synthese, elektrochemischen und katalytischen Eigenschaften von homogenen Eisen-Epoxidationskatalysatoren mit tetradentaten N-heterozyklischen Carben (NHC) Liganden, sowie deren Abbauprodukte werden beschrieben. Darüber hinaus werden Kupfer-, Silber-, Gold-, Palladium- und Platin NHC-Komplexe hinsichtlich ihrer antibakteriellen und antitumor Aktivität in vitro untersucht.
