In a patient-controlled study, 28 patients with tachycardias of the right ventricular outflow-tract were matched by age and sex to an healthy control-group, underlying a standardisized stresssituation to investigate if RVOT-patients react with different automatisized autonomic reaction to acute stress. In RVOT-patients salivary cortisol-levels were significantly higher during maximum stress income (p=0,037) and inclining Cortisol-levels were found comparing start and end of the stress-test (p=0,021). Arterial blood pressure elevated with p=0,003 for systolic and p<= 0,001 for diastolic measurements, comparing RVOT-Patients to control group. RVOT-patients seem to have an autonomic dysregulation based on sympatho-vagal imbalance with enhanced sympatho-adrenal and hypophyseal-endocrinological reaction of the organism to acute stress.
