Abstract:
Inhalt der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Entwicklung, Validierung und wissenschaftliche Anwendung von modernen, miniaturisierten Methoden zur klinischen, tierstudienbasierten und mikrobiellen Analytik von Folaten und anderen C1-Metaboliten in Blut- und Gewebeproben sowie Bakterienzellen und Kulturmedien mit Hilfe von Stabilisotopenverdünnungsanalysen (SIVAs), gefolgt von einer selektiven und sensitiven Quantifizierung mittels Flüssigchromatographie-Tandemmassenspektrometrie (LC-MS/MS). 
Translated abstract:
This work presents the development, validation and scientific application of modern and miniaturised methods for clinical, animal study-based, and microbial analysis of folates and other one-carbon metabolites in blood samples, tissue samples, bacteria cells, and culture media by means of stable isotope dilution assays (SIDAs) coupled with selective and sensitive tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
