Abstract:
Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt einen robusten Ansatz zur automatischen Erkennung und Verfolgung von semantisch relevanten Objekten in einer monokularen Videosequenz vor. Das potentiell echtzeit-fähige Online-Verfahren behandelt die auftretenden Probleme wie unterschiedliche optische Erscheinungen oder rasche Bewegungen mit Hilfe einer Kombination von aussagekräftigen Merkmalen. Die Leistungsfähigkeit des Ansatzes wird durch eine empirische Evaluierung mit mehrstündigem Videomaterial demonstriert.

The thesis presents a robust approach towards the detection and tracking of semantic relevant objects in a monocular video sequence. The used online methods are potentially real-time capable and tackle the encountered problems such as different optical appearances or rapid movements using a combination of meaningful features. The performance of the system is demonstrated by an extensive empiric evaluation using several hours of challenging video data.
