Abstract:
The influence of drying process parameters of low-temperature vacuum drying on the survival and residual water content of three different bacterial strains is shown. Shelf temperature and chamber pressure were varied according to an experimental design. This led to a Response Surface Methodology-based optimization focused on the survival of cells and residual water content.
