Abstract:
BACKGROUND: Color tissue Doppler imaging permits noninvasive quantitation of regional wall motion. In experimental studies, a new marker, the slope of the isovolumic contraction wave, isovolumic acceleration (IVA) was more insensitive to ventricular loading conditions than myocardial velocities.
