- Abstract:
- This thesis presents four novel approaches to augment information of road maps, aerial and ground images: Vehicles are detected in aerial images. The geolocation of aerial images is estimated using a road map. Aerial images are parsed to enhance the road maps by estimating the road width and correcting misalignments. Aerial and ground images are processed jointly with existing maps to extract the fine-grained road layout and to improve the alignment between the different image types.

- Die Arbeit präsentiert vier Methoden, um Informationen in Straßenkarten, Luft- und Bodenbilder zu verbessern: Fahrzeuge werden in Luftbildern detektiert. Die Geoposition von Luftbildern wird automatisch durch Straßenkarten bestimmt. Straßenbreiten werden aus Luftbildern abgeleitet, um Straßenkarten zu verbessern. Luft- und Bodenbilder werden gemeinsam mit Straßenkarten verarbeitet, um ein detailliertes Straßenlayout zu extrahieren und gleichzeitig die verschiedenen Bilder zu registrieren.
