- Diese Dissertation erforschte Kathepsin K (Ctsk) negative Stammzellen in der Hämatopoese. Serientransplantationen und Versuche auf Stammzellebene zeigten, dass die Expression von CTSK in Blutzellen unerlässlich für die vollständige Regeneration des Blutsystems ist. Diese Beobachtung wurde von einer veränderten Signalübermittlung im WNT-Signalweg in Stammzellen von Ctsk-Knockoutmäusen begleitet. Daher weist diese Arbeit auf eine Interaktion zwischen CTSK und dem WNT-Signalweg hin.
- Translated abstract:
- This dissertation describes investigations about Cathepsin K (Ctsk) negative stem cells in hematopoiesis. Serial transplantations and assays on stem cell level displayed that the expression of CTSK in hematopoietic cells is indispensable for the full recovery of the blood system. This observation was accompanied by an altered WNT signaling in stem cells from Ctsk knockout mice. Therefore, this thesis points to an interaction between CTSK and WNT signaling.
