- Ziel dieser Studie ist, ein liposomales Spray hinsichtlich einer Verbesserung der Sicca-Symptomatik sowie der Riech- und Schmeckleistung bei Patienten mit Tumorerkrankungen zu testen. Die Wirkung dieses Sprays auf die Steifigkeit der großen Kopfspeicheldrüsen war ebenfalls Ziel dieser Studie. Hierfür wurden 98 Patienten untersucht. Mit Hilfe der Sniffin´ Sticks und den Taste Strips wurde bei jedem Probanden eine ausführliche Erhebung der Riechleistung (SDI-Wert) und der Schmeckleistung durchgeführt. Die Steifigkeit der großen Speicheldrüsen (Gl. parotis & Gl. submandibularis) wurde durch die Acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) Methode bestimmt.

- The aim of this study was to test a liposomal spray with regard to an improvement in sicca-symptoms and in the olfactory and gustatory capacity of tumour patients. The effect of this spray on the stiffness of the major head salivary glands was likewise a focus of this study. This study examined 98 patients. A comprehensive survey of the olfactory capacity (SDI value) and gustatory capacity of each participant was carried out with the aid of the Sniffin´ Sticks and the Taste Strip. The stiffness of the large salivary glands (parotid gland & submandibular gland) was determined by the acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) method.
