Abstract:
In der Pathogenese von MS und NMO spielen T- und B-Lymphozyten eine essentielle Rolle. In dieser Arbeit werden die Auswirkungen einer B-Zelldepletion mittels Rituximab auf das zelluläre Immunsystem von Patienten mit neuroinflammatorischen Erkrankungen (vorrangig MS/NMO) untersucht. Insbesondere der Einfluss auf regulatorische T-Zellen und Monozyten wird dargestellt. Die Ergebnisse verdeutlichen den hohen Stellenwert von regulatorischen und Antigen präsentierenden Zellen bei MS und NMO.

T- and B-lymphocytes play a major role in the pathogenesis of MS and NMO. In this study the influence of B-cell depletion by Rituximab on the cellular immune system of patients with neuroinflammatory diseases (preferential MS or NMO) is examined. The impact on regulatory T-cells and monocytes is particularly shown. The results emphasize the high significance of regulatory and antigen presenting cells in MS and NMO.
