In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird das Zusammenspiel von Leitrad und Laufrad und die dadurch verbundenen Auswirkungen auf das Saugrohr im Hinblick auf den Turbinen- und Anlagenwirkungsgrad sowie auf das Kavitationsverhalten von Axialturbinen numerisch analysiert. Die initialen Designs von Laufrad und Saugrohr werden mit verschiedenen numerischen Simulationssystemen untersucht und die Vorgehensweise der Optimierung beschrieben. Die Bestimmung des erforderlichen Restdralls der Laufradabströmung als Funktion der spezifischen Drehzahl erweist sich als zentrales Ergebnis dieser Dissertation.     «

In this study the interaction between stator and rotor and its effect on draft tube flow are numerically analyzed with respect to both the turbine and plant efficiency and to the cavitation behavior of axial turbines. The initial design of the runner and draft tube is analyzed by means of different numerical simulation systems and the optimization process is described in detail. The determination of the needed remaining swirl at the runner outlet versus specific speed is the main result of this thesis.     «
