Abstract:
The catalytic chemical fixation of carbon dioxide through cycloaddition with epoxides to cyclic carbonates is the major focus of this thesis. Therefore, bifunctional as well as binary catalyst systems were designed, synthesized and used for the process in order to reach higher sustainability. Additionally, imidazolium based compounds were investigated for the epoxidation with olefins. Thus, novel kinds of catalytically active ionic liquids were developed.

Die chemische Fixierung von Kohlenstoffdioxid, durch katalytische Zykloaddition mit Epoxiden zu zyklischen Carbonaten, ist der Hauptschwerpunkt dieser Arbeit. Um dies mit gesteigerter Nachhaltigkeit zu realisieren, wurden bifunktionelle und binäre Katalysatorsysteme entworfen, synthetisiert und angewandt. Außerdem wurden Imidazolium basierte Verbindungen für die Epoxidation von Olefinen untersucht. Dabei konnten neuartige katalytische aktive ionische Flüssigkeiten entwickelt werden.
