- Abstract:
- Oct4 is the major transcription factor responsible activating the pluripotency network. We could however show that Oct4 function is also important for proper formation of hindgut endoderm and correct left-right axis establishment. This function is carried out through the modulation of the Wnt and Tgf-β signaling pathways by Oct4.

- Oct4 ist der wichtigste Transkriptionsfaktor für die Pluripotenz von Zellen. Wir konnten jedoch zeigen dass die Funktion von Oct4 auch wichtig für die Entwicklung des posterioren Entoderms und die Bildung der Recht-links Achse ist. Diese Funktionen steuert Oct4 durch die Regulierung der Wnt und Tgf-β Signalwege.
