Der postoperativ verbleibende Tumorrest ist der wichtigste Prognosefaktor beim fortgeschrittenen Ovarialkarzinom. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurde der Einfluss der Lokalisation und der Größe des Tumorrestes auf das Progressionsfreie und das Gesamtüberleben untersucht. Zusätzlich wurde die Resttumorgröße in Millimetern erfasst und ein Cut-off gesucht , der das Ziel einer optimalen Operation definiert. Die komplette Tumorrest ist mit dem besten Outcome für die Patientinnnen verbunden, es konnte aber ein Cut-off von 3mm gefunden werden, der ebenfalls mit dem Überleben der Patientinnen assoziiert ist. Darüberhinaus waren ein lokalisierter Tumorrest prognostisch günstiger als ein disseminierter Tumorrest.      «

The remaining postoperative residual tumor is the most important prognostic factor in advanced ovarian cancer . In the present work, the influence of the location and the size of the residual tumor on progression-free and overall survival was investigated. In addition, the residual tumor size was recorded in millimeters and a cut-off wanted that defines the goal of optimal operation. The complete residual tumor is associated with the best outcome for the patients , but there could be found a cut-off of 3 mm , which is also associated with the survival of the patients .
