Effect of electron-electron scattering on Monte Carlo studies of transport in submicron semiconductors devices
In the Ensemble Monte Carlo (E.M.C.) Method, the fact that a distribution function exists and evolves with the ensemble can be used to include e-e scattering in the calculation without any assumptions on the form of the distribution function. The straightforward and time-saving algorithm used to introduce e-e scattering in the E.M.C. is presented by considering n-Si in the presence of very high electric fields.
