- Es wurde eine Methode zur gezielten Analyse des pflanzlichen Schwefelmetaboloms etabliert. Durch die Markierung mit stabilen Isotopen und hochauflösende Massenspektrometrie konnte das Schwefelmetabolom von Arabidopsis thaliana beschrieben werden. Ein großer Teil der erfassten Schwefelverbindungen wurde als bislang unbekannt klassifiziert. - Translated abstract:
- A method for targeted analysis of the plant sulfur metabolome was established. Based on stable isotope labeling and high resolution mass spectrometry the sulfur metabolome of Arabidospsis thaliana was described. A high proportion of the detected sulfur compounds was classified as unknown. Furthermore the analysis of gene mutants lead to the discovery and characterization of specific alterations of sulfur metabolites which will support the elucidation of metabolic pathways in future.
