Ziel der retrospektiven Untersuchung mit 163 Patienten war es, die Effektivität und die Veränderungen der primär kurativen Radio- /chemotherapie bei Patienten mit lokal fortgeschrittenem, nicht metastasiertem Plattenepithelkarzinom des Ösophagus von 1988- 2006 zu analysieren. Es wurde die Gesamtüberlebenszeit, die Rezidiv- und Metastasierungsrate sowie die Lebensqualität unter Einbezug von Tumorstadium, Histologie, Therapiekonzept, Komorbiditäten, ECOG-Status und Nebenwirkungen der Therapie erhoben.     «

The aim of this retrospective study including 163 patients was to investigate the effectivity and changes of primary curative radio(-chemo)therapy of patients with local progressed non metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the oesophagus between 1988 and 2006. Data of overall survival, local recurrence, occurrence of distant metastases as well as quality of life in due consideration of TNM-stage, histology, therapy schemata, comorbidities, ECOG performance status and toxicity of therapy were collected.     «
