- In dieser Arbeit sollten Unterschiede zwischen Plattenepithelkarzinomen der Nasenhaupt- und Nasennebenhöhlen (SNSCC) und Plattenepithelkarzinomen der Mundhöhle des Pharynx und des Larynx (HNSCC) untersucht werden. Hierzu wurden 44 SNSCC und 65 HNSCC Fälle auf Mutationen in den Genen für EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, PI3K und TP53, sowie auf EBV und HPV Infektion untersucht und miteinander verglichen. - Translated abstract:
- In this study we compared squamous carcinomas of the sinus or the nasal cavity (SNSCC) with those of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx (HNSCC) with respect to their genetic profiles, namely EGFR, KRAS, BRAF, PI3K and TP53, and an infection by EBV and HPV. It could be shown that an EBV infection was closely related to metastasis of SNSCCs. There was almost no difference in the genetic profiles or the HPV positivity of the two comparison groups and no significant influence of EBV in HNSCCs.
