Abstract:
This dissertation analyzes whether institutional investors have to adjust their investment behavior to the new realities of the maturing private equity industry and if so, in which way. The author identifies and evaluates various conflicts of interests between institutional investors and private equity funds. By addressing these conflicts, the dissertation provides guidance towards a more balanced relation between both market participants and a more sustainable private equity industry.

Diese Dissertation analysiert, ob und inwiefern institutionelle Investoren ihr Anlageverhalten an die neuen Gegebenheiten der Private Equity Industrie anpassen müssen. Der Autor identifiziert und bewertet verschiedene Interessenskonflikte zwischen institutionellen Investoren und Private Equity Fonds. Darauf basierend entwickelt diese Dissertation Lösungsvorschläge für eine ausgewogenere Beziehung beider Marktteilnehmer und eine nachhaltigere Entwicklung der Private Equity Industrie.
